Emerging Creative Industries Professional, Film/Theater Producer/AD, Photographer, and Emerson College Graduate.
Born and raised in Nyack, NY, Marina has been immersed in the arts from an early age, studying film, music, dance, theater, acting, and writing. Her lifelong passion for creativity led her to Emerson College, where she earned a B.A. in Business of Creative Enterprises, a program that blends entertainment business, marketing, creative development, and strategy. She complemented her degree with minors in Music History & Culture and Art History, expanding her knowledge across multiple artistic disciplines.
At Emerson, Marina became an active member of the student film and theater community, contributing to numerous projects as a producer, assistant director, and casting director. Beyond campus, she gained hands-on professional experience through three internships that spanned different sectors of the entertainment industry. As a development intern at Braven Films, she analyzed scripts, wrote coverage, and supported producers with organizational tasks. At the historic Emerson Colonial Theater (Ambassador Theatre Group), she worked alongside the administrative and marketing teams, contributing to production meetings, drafting social media content, and managing financial documentation. As a public relations intern at The Brand Agency in Los Angeles, she supported publicity campaigns for major clients—including Disney, Paramount, Hulu, Alo Yoga, and Sephora—through press tracking, media research, influencer outreach, and event support.
Following graduation in May 2025, she began a new role as an assistant at Viking Entertainment, where she has developed a strong foundation in talent representation. In this role, she works extensively with a roster of high-profile actors. Marina’s responsibilities include coordinating casting calls, travel and personal arrangements. She performs administrative assistant and office management duties such as answering phones/screening calls, restocking and organizing office supplies, mail distribution, email communication, updating and organizing files, calendar management etc. .
Additionally, she assists in scouting new talent and stays informed on upcoming projects that may have roles for clients., submits clients for major casting opportunities, coordinates scheduling with clients and casting directors, and manages communication between the talent manager and clients, strengthening both her administrative and coordination skills.
These diverse experiences have not only deepened her understanding of the entertainment industry but also helped her refine her professional goals. Marina lives and works in New York City.

photo series: SOPHIE
Artist’s Statement:
This photo series is a reflection of my study abroad experience in Spring 2023, which was set against the backdrop of an 18th-century castle in the Dutch village of Well. Inspired by the ghostly legend of Sophie, the daughter of Knight Pieter Willem, who once called the castle home, I delved into her story. Sophie's untimely passing in 1816 at the age of 15 left a lasting impact on her family and the village as a whole. It has been said that her soul never left the castle and based on some of my personal experiences, I cannot argue.
As I lived within the historic castle's walls, I discovered many secret spots that could have been Sophie's personal retreats. To me, a normal aspect of girlhood is discovering independence through voluntary seclusion; my guess is that Sophie wasn’t any different.
Using 35mm Kodak Portra 800 film, this photo series envisions a contemporary Sophie, portrayed by model Doriana Spurrell, navigating these same spaces. Through these images, I invite viewers to traverse temporal boundaries and connect with the echoes of Sophie's past against the picturesque backdrop of this Dutch historical landmark.
